Initial coefficients of starlike functions with real coefficients
The sharp bounds for the third and fourth coefficients of Ma-Minda starlike functions having fixed second coefficient are determined. These results are proved by using certain constraint coefficient problem for functions with positive real part whose coefficients are real and the first coefficient is kept fixed. Analogous results are obtained for a general class of close-to-convex functions
متن کاملConfounded coefficients: Accurately comparing logit and probit coefficients across groups
The logit and probit models are critical parts of the management researcher's analytical arsenal. We often want to know if a covariate has the same effect for different groups, e.g., foreign and domestic firms. Unfortunately, many attempts to compare the effect of covariates across groups make the unwarranted assumption that each group has the same residual variation. If this is not the case, c...
متن کاملBinomial Coefficients and Littlewood–Richardson Coefficients for Jack Polynomials
In this paper, we consider translation and multiplication operators acting on the rings of symmetric and nonsymmetric polynomials and study their matrix coefficients with respect to the bases of Jack polynomials and interpolation polynomials. The main new insight is that the symmetric and nonsymmetric cases share a key combinatorial feature, that of a locally finite graded poset with a minimum ...
متن کاملProgram for generating tables of SU(3) coupling coefficients
A C-Language program which tabulates the isoscalar factors and ClebschGordan coefficients for products of representations in SU(3) is presented. These are efficiently computed using recursion relations, and the results are presented in exact precision as square roots of rational numbers. Output is in LTEX format.
متن کاملCoefficients and Catalan Numbers
In this paper we establish some new congruences involving central binomial coefficients as well as Catalan numbers. Let p be a prime and let a be any positive integer. We determine P p a −1 k=0`2k k+d´mod p 2 for a −1 k=0`2k k+δ´mod p 3 for δ = 0, 1. We also show that 1 C n p a −1 X k=0 C p a n+k ≡ 1 − 3(n + 1) " p a − 1 3 « (mod p 2) for every n = 0, 1, 2,. .. , where C m is the Catalan number...
